 Banquet Manager

Candidate must have 2-3 years of experience as a Banquet Manager with strong knowledge of correct serving techniques and styles along with strong hospitality and listening skills. The individual must also know correct room set-up procedures and how to set-up creative buffet presentations; maitre’d experience running social events including weddings. The individual must also have wine and beverage service skills and be knowledgeable of and able to enact beverage control systems. Required computer skills are use of Delphi, Microsoft word, Excel and Meeting Matrix. Must have experience supervising a union staff as well as experience with maintenance programs.

 
Houseperson

Potential candidate must have 3 years experience in housekeeping in a hotel and be familiar with housekeeping responsibilities.  Individual is required to lift up to 85 pounds.  Strong communication skills are a must; the candidate should be articulate, flexible, and a team player.


Administrative Assistant to the Director of Finance

Support the Director of Finance in day to day activities including scheduling of appointments for the day and email correspondence, answer phones in accordance with IHR guidelines, return & deliver messages in a timely manner. Prepare and distribute reports, clerical responsibilities include organizing and managing accounting files, duties include some accounting functions, maintain and replenish office supplies. Must be knowledgeable in the use of MS Word and Excel. Strong organizational, customer service and communications skills are a must. Candidate must possess a professional and energetic personality, and be very detail-oriented and able to multi-task with ease.


Engineering Manager

  

The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, and be hospitality oriented and be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.  This position requires a mechanical background in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.  The candidate must have job related experience with all other building trades such as: plumbing, carpentry, painting, and an understanding of the coordination of work duties among the trades.  The ideal candidate must be willing to and capable of obtaining a NYC Boiler/Refrigeration license as well as a Standpipe and Sprinkler Certificate, if currently not possessed.  Due to the cyclical nature of the hotel business the individual must be able to work weekends, nights and flexible hours.  Also, the candidate must be able to supervise engineer associates; previous experience in Hotels, Hospitals, or Commercial Office Buildings is required.
