Guest Relations Manager

Manage all guest feedback on social media platforms and guest service applications for current and past guest. Service each guest comment/complaint according to hotel procedure, while adhering to time sensitive response times. Resolve customer issues or complaints and anticipate potential problems by reviewing and monitoring complaints together with various operational issues to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Education: Four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • Experience: One to two full years of full employment in a related position.

Skills and Abilities: Requires thorough knowledge of hotel services and guest relations profession. General knowledge of other departments in the hotel and the ability to determine a course of action based on these guidelines and policies. Ability to achieve positive guest relations and maximize guest satisfaction. Requires an understanding of social media platforms; preferred technical knowledge of social media platforms and guest service tracking systems. Must have excellent oral and written English communication skills and have the ability to work with all levels of associates. Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively. Second language is desirable.


Front Desk Manager

This individual supervises the daily operations of the Front Desk Staff to maximize revenues and profits. The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in Hotel Front Office, New York experience is preferred. The individual will respond to guest's special requests, needs, problems, issues and concerns and accommodate groups to ensure optimal levels of guest satisfaction and repeat business. The candidate must have strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. A high-energy individual, the Front Desk Manager must be able to motivate and hold associates accountable. 2 Year degree or higher preferred but not required. Union experience is preferred.


Human Resources Administrative Assistant

This position requires an energetic, organized, detail-oriented individual with an outgoing personality who is also hospitality/service oriented.  The position requires an Associate's degree or equivalent education with a minimum of one-year Hotel or Human Resources related work experience preferred.  Candidate must assist in the overall operation of the H.R. Dept. by maintaining accurate employee records; providing support in the areas of recruitment, payroll, benefit administration, employee relations and events, orientation, training, maintenance of all logs and associates' files, employee bulletin boards, and office supplies inventory.  Must be proficient in all MS Office applications, with an aptitude to learn new software applications as well as having an ability to write and communicate professionally.


Engineering Manager

The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, and be hospitality oriented and be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.  This position requires a mechanical background in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.  The candidate must have job related experience with all other building trades such as: plumbing, carpentry, painting, and an understanding of the coordination of work duties among the trades Due to the cyclical nature of the hotel business the individual must be able to work weekends, nights and flexible hours.  Also, the candidate must be able to supervise engineer associates; previous experience in Hotels, Hospitals, or Commercial Office Buildings is required.


Executive Chef

This position requires at least 2 years experience in a New York City Union Hotel.  The ideal candidate must be able to lead a union staff and manage 3 Food & Beverage outlets along with 30,000 square feet of banquet space. The individual will be a hands-on Chef with proven leadership skills. Full understanding of budgeting, payroll and union rules are needed.   A culinary degree is required.


Executive Sous Chef

This position requires at least 2 years of experience in a New York City Union Hotel as a Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef. The ideal candidate must be able to coordinate, plan and supervise the production, plating and presentation of food in ala carte and banquet settings. The individual will be a hands-on Chef with proven leadership skills, New York City Health Department Certification and a full understanding of food safety procedures.  A Culinary degree is required.


Food & Beverage Operations Manager

The position is responsible for the short-term planning and managing the operations of the Restaurant(s), Room Service, Lounge(s) and Banquets. Recommends promotional ideas and procedural changes. Prepares forecast, implements, monitors and controls the budgets for the various outlets. Conducts training within the Food and Beverage divisions to achieve customer (guest, employees, corporate and owners) satisfaction and quality service while meeting/exceeding financial goals.
  • At least two years of Food and Beverage Management Including Union Management experience preferred.

mad46 Supervisor/Coordinator

The ideal candidate will be an energetic, detail oriented individual who is pursuing a degree in Marketing or Hospitality Management with course work in marketing. Must be able to greet guests, extend a warm welcome, take and log reservations for the rooftop lounge. Must have good communication, organizational and multitasking skills. The individual must have excellent phone and computer skills; be proficient in MS Word applications, data base entry. Must be willing to work flexible hours including some nights and weekends.
