Director of International Sales
This position will report to the Director of Sales and Marketing and will oversee all day to day efforts of our wholesale travel business and segment. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills and will be responsible for achieving assigned wholesale travel quotas for the hotel.
A minimum of 5 years prior hotel sales experience specifically with wholesale background is required. Strong revenue management abilities are needed in addition to excellent communication skills. Prior New York City experience is a plus as well as multi-lingual capabilities for this position.
Human Resources Administrative Assistant
This position requires an energetic, organized, detail-oriented individual with an outgoing personality who is also hospitality/service oriented. The position requires an Associate's degree or equivalent education with a minimum of one-year Hotel or Human Resources related work experience preferred. Candidate must assist in the overall operation of the H.R. Dept. by maintaining accurate employee records; providing support in the areas of recruitment, payroll, benefit administration, employee relations and events, orientation, training, maintenance of all logs and associates' files, employee bulletin boards, and office supplies inventory. Must be proficient in all MS Office applications, with an aptitude to learn new software applications as well as having an ability to write and communicate professionally.
The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, and be hospitality oriented and be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. This position requires a mechanical background in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. The candidate must have job related experience with all other building trades such as: plumbing, carpentry, painting, and an understanding of the coordination of work duties among the trades Due to the cyclical nature of the hotel business the individual must be able to work weekends, nights and flexible hours. Also, the candidate must be able to supervise engineer associates; previous experience in Hotels, Hospitals, or Commercial Office Buildings is required.
This position requires at least 2 years experience in a New York City Union Hotel. The ideal candidate must be able to lead a union staff and manage 3 Food & Beverage outlets along with 30,000 square feet of banquet space. The individual will be a hands-on Chef with proven leadership skills. Full understanding of budgeting, payroll and union rules are needed. A culinary degree is required.
Executive Sous Chef
This position requires at least 2 years of experience in a New York City Union Hotel as a Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef. The ideal candidate must be able to coordinate, plan and supervise the production, plating and presentation of food in ala carte and banquet settings. The individual will be a hands-on Chef with proven leadership skills, New York City Health Department Certification and a full understanding of food safety procedures. A Culinary degree is required.
Food & Beverage Operations ManagerThe position is responsible for the short-term planning and managing the operations of the Restaurant(s), Room Service, Lounge(s) and Banquets. Recommends promotional ideas and procedural changes. Prepares forecast, implements, monitors and controls the budgets for the various outlets. Conducts training within the Food and Beverage divisions to achieve customer (guest, employees, corporate and owners) satisfaction and quality service while meeting/exceeding financial goals.
At least two years of Food and Beverage Management Including Union Management experience preferred.
