Museum of Modern Art in NYC

Founded in 1929, the Museum of Modern Art was the first museum in the world to concentrate on modern art.  Today, MoMA has one of the most extraordinary permanent art collections in the world, which includes 135,000 paintings, drawings, films, designs, sculptures, photographs and prints.  In addition, the Museum is host to continuous rotating series of temporary exhibitions.  If visiting with kids in tow, the Museum of Modern Art New York offers a variety of programs geared toward children and families.
